Join us for our Summer edition of Nailed It! Each aspiring decorator will be challenged to recreate an ombre beach cake masterpiece made by our professional cake decorator. We’ll start with some cake decorating tips to get started on the right track, then each contestant will be given a 6 inch vanilla cake (baked by us ahead of time to allow cakes to cool) to decorate their own look-alike. Just like the show, each contestant may press the buzzer for 3 minutes of assistance. Everyone will take home a cake but only one person will wear the golden chef hat!  Come join the fun! Class size limited.

Our instructor will teach kids how to crumb coat and frost a cake, use a piping bag and tips to create a professional looking cake.

About the instructor

Melissa is an award winning cookie and cake decorator with many of her works published in magazines. She has over 13 years of experience, owns an in-house bakery and is a member of the Wilton Hall of Fame.  She loves sharing her passion with children and adults alike.

FOOD ALLERGIES: Please contact us prior to registering if you have a food allergy. We do not use peanuts or tree nuts unless specifically noted in the class description, however we cannot guarantee that ingredients are processed in a nut-free facility. Please let us know before you register and we are happy to review ingredient labels ahead of time.

Children will work both independently and in small groups. If your child is signed up with a friend, please indicate that during registration. Kindly no arrivals earlier than 5 minutes before class time so we can give you our full attention. Only registered children are permitted inside the kitchen as a Covid safety precaution.    

CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY: Camps are non-refundable, however, we understand that plans change. If your child is unable to attend their scheduled session for any reason, we will provide you with a credit to be used for another session to be used by August 23rd, 2021 and subject to availability. You must notify us at least 14 days before the class start date. Rescheduling requests must be emailed to us at info@mixitupkitchen.com. If you do not receive a reply, please assume that we didn’t receive your request and call us at the number above. Any requests made within the 14 day window can only be honored if we can fill your child’s spot. You are always welcome to transfer the space to another child who meets the age requirement. Due to our limited class size we appreciate your understanding.
