SUMMARY:Cooking With Confidence | Tweens & Teens  | Ages 11+
DESCRIPTION:Think outside the box and learn to make delicious meals from scratch. In this mini series\, tweens and teens will learn proper knife skills for slicing\, dicing and julienning ingredients for fresh\, versatile summertime meals along with other important culinary skills. Our creations will be packaged up to bring home in time for dinner. Class size limited. \n\nDate: Monday\, August 7th to Wednesday\, August 9th \nTime: 3:30-5:30 PM \nCost: $275 \n\n\n  \nThings to know: \nAll Summer Camps are drop-off.   \nIf you have trouble registering or resetting a password\, please contact us at info@mixitupkitchen.com or at 617-794-5191.  \nFOOD ALLERGIES: Please contact us PRIOR TO REGISTERING if your child has ANY food allergies or dietary restrictions. We do not use peanuts or tree nuts unless specifically noted in the class description\, however ingredients may be processed in a facility or on shared equipment with tree nuts\, peanuts or other allergens. Please contact us before you register and we are happy to review ingredients with you to determine whether this camp is appropriate. \nChildren will work in small groups\, pairs and sometimes independently. All camps are age appropriate\, however in order to provide a safe environment with the use of kitchen tools and equipment\, children should have good listening skills\, the ability to follow general instructions and stay focused. Weather permitting\, we will be taking outside breaks. Please no flip flops or backless sandals since they can be a tripping hazard. Please let us know prior to registering if you have any questions or concerns. Recipes will be emailed at the end of the camp week.  \nKindly no arrivals earlier than 5 minutes before camp time so we can give you our full attention. We ask that children are picked up promptly when the camp ends. To reduce traffic inside the kitchen\, we kindly ask that only registered children come inside unless you need to speak with us\, or your child is more comfortable being accompanied on the first day.  \nCAMP CANCELLATION POLICY AND LIABILITY WAIVER: Please read the liability waiver before registering for any class or camp. By registering for a camp\, you agree to the terms of our liability waiver and cancellation policy.    \nCamp registrations are non-refundable. If your child is unable to attend their camp session for any reason\, you can request a kitchen credit for another camp. You must notify us at least 14 days prior to your child’s camp session to receive credit. Rescheduling requests must be emailed to us at info@mixitupkitchen.com. If you do not receive an acknowledgement\, please assume that we didn’t receive your request and call us at the number above. We are not able to offer partial cancellations or makeup classes for individual sick days that are missed. All kitchen credits expire on 8/31/23 and are subject to availability.  \nDue to our limited enrollment\, no kitchen credits will be issued when fewer than 14 days notice is provided for any reason including illness or scheduling conflicts. If you cannot attend your camp session\, you are always welcome to send a sibling or friend in your child’s place.
