These delicious Parisian sandwich cookies are remarkably simple once you learn the science and technique behind them.  In this hands-on workshop\, we’ll show you how to make meringue batter with techniques such as ribboning\, piping\, resting and baking. We’ll work in groups to make the shells and some delicious fillings. SUMMARY:Endless Summer Nailed It!  | 1 Day | Ages 9-14
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Summer edition of Nailed It! Each aspiring decorator will be challenged to recreate an ombre beach cake masterpiece made by our professional cake decorator. We’ll start with some cake decorating tips to get started on the right track\, then each contestant will be given a 6 inch vanilla cake (baked by us ahead of time to allow cakes to cool) to decorate their own look-alike. Just like the show\, each contestant may press the buzzer for 3 minutes of assistance. Everyone will take home a cake but only one person will wear the golden chef hat!  Come join the fun! Class size limited. \nOur instructor will teach kids how to crumb coat and frost a cake\, use a piping bag and tips to create a professional looking cake. \nAbout the instructor \nMelissa is an award winning cookie and cake decorator with many of her works published in magazines. DESCRIPTION:Learn the art of making artisanal-style pizza from mixing\, balling\, stretching to shaping. Prepare toppings alongside our chef for delicious pizza to enjoy at the kitchen. Snug Harbor Wine will be sampling their favorite pizza wines to pair with our creations. For a sweet finale\, you’ll mix up chocolate cream filling for cannolis. Pizza enjoyed at the kitchen will be chef-made pizza dough and each attendee will bring home their own pizza dough (to allow for dough to rise) to enjoy for later. \nEach couple/individual will have their own workspace apart from others to enjoy pizza & wine\, in accordance with CDC guidelines. \n  \nDate: Saturday\, June 12th \n\nTime: 5:30-7:30 PM \n\nCost: $85 per person or $150 per couple \n\nIf this class is full please contact us at info@mixitupkitchen.com to be put on a waitlist. \n\n\nThings to know:\n\nMasks are required inside the kitchen at all times.
