SUMMARY:Nailed It! | Gingerbread House Edition | Ages 9-14
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by the popular TV Show Nailed It!\, join us for our holiday edition of friendly competition and fun!  Our professional cake decorator will demonstrate how to use a piping bag and tips to create hanging icicles\, beautiful designs and scroll work.  Each contestant must recreate Chef Melissa’s masterpiece in just under an hour.  Does your house need rescuing?  Don’t worry\, you can press the buzzer for 3 minutes of help!  Everyone will take home their decorated gingerbread house\, but only one person will wear the golden chef hat!  Come join the fun!  Houses will be assembled ahead of time to be ready to decorate. \n  \n\nDate: Friday\, December 17th \n\nTime: 4:30-6:00 PM \nCost: $70 \n  \n\n\nThings to know: \n\nIf you have trouble registering or resetting a password\, please contact us at info@mixitupkitchen.com or at 617-794-5191.  \nCOVID-19 UPDATE: We will be following CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of our students. DESCRIPTION:Do you ever marvel at those beautiful french macarons found in fancy bakeries? These delicious Parisian sandwich cookies are remarkably simple once you learn the science and technique behind them.  In this hands-on workshop\, we’ll show you how to make meringue batter with techniques such as ribboning\, piping\, resting and baking. We’ll work in groups to make the shells and some delicious holiday inspired fillings. Each student will take home a sampler of macarons with three fillings (chocolate\, pistachio and peppermint buttercream). \nPlease note: this class is not appropriate for people with tree nut and peanut allergies.  This class is for children ages 11+.
