SUMMARY:Detox for the New Year | Vegan & GF
DESCRIPTION:When we overindulge in food and drink\, we put a strain on our bodies.  We overwork our digestive systems\, flood our livers with toxins and deplete our immune systems. To aid our bodies in reestablishing homeostasis\, we need to consume foods that support and nourish our bodies. Throughout this class we will cover three recipes that can easily be prepared in larger batches to lessen the stress of detoxing. This entire day’s\, or week’s\, menu is full of fruits and vegetables that will help your body heal after the holiday season. Recipes and helpful suggestions will be included to assist you during your detox. You’ll enjoy a light meal\, snacks and an infused water and green tea beverage. Please join us for an evening of delicious food and give yourself the best gift of all — your health! \n  \nAbout the  instructor: Chef Jessica has worked a variety of food related jobs ranging from farmer to restaurant manager to chef\, and most recently received her Masters in Gastronomy with a Culinary Arts certification from Boston University. This wide array of experiences has helped shape her unique approach to cooking which focuses on the connection between mind and body through conscious consumption. Jessica is the founder of The Almond Tree\, a food services business that focuses on ethical eating. \n  \nDate: Friday\, January 10th \nTime: 6:30-8:30 PM \nCost: $65 \n  \n\nThings to know: \nOur kitchen will open 10 minutes prior to class (kindly no arrival before that time).  Please inform us of any food allergies prior to registering.  Menu items may change slightly due to freshness and availability.  We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment and a full refund will be provided.  If you need to cancel\, we can provide a credit towards a future class if you notify us at least 7 days prior to the class (unfortunately no refunds).  Due to the intimate size of our classes\, we are unable to provide a credit for cancellations within 7 days of the event.  You are welcome to send someone in your place- just let us know in advance.
