DESCRIPTION:Inspired by the popular TV Show Nailed it!\, join us for our Halloween edition of friendly competition and fun!  Each aspiring decorator will be challenged to recreate a Halloween cake masterpiece made by our professional cake decorator.  We’ll start with a cake decorating tutorial and tips to get started on the right track\, then each contestant will be given a 2-layer 6 inch vanilla cake to decorate their own look-alike. Cakes equal approximately 6 servings and are baked by us ahead of time to allow cakes to cool. Just like the show\, each contestant may press the buzzer for 3 minutes of assistance.  Everyone will take home a cake but only one person will wear the golden chef hat!  Come join the fun! \nOur instructor will teach kids how to level a cake\, crumb coat\, use an offset spatula and scraper and piping bag to create a professional looking cake. DESCRIPTION:Tis the season to bake and enjoy wonderful holiday treats!   We’ll be mixing up some of our holiday favorites while covering many baking techniques for gift-worthy treats.  Join us for this fun and festive series!  Some of our holiday treats will include macarons\, holiday cookies\, breads and more.  Class size limited. \nPlease note: this class will be using tree nuts.  \n  \nDates: Wednesdays: December 1st\, 8th\, 15th & 22nd \n\nTime: 4:00-5:30 PM \nCost: $250 \n\nAges 9-15 (older children are welcome to register). \n  \nThings to know: \nIf you have trouble registering or resetting a password\, please contact us at info@mixitupkitchen.com or at 617-794-5191.  \nCOVID-19 UPDATE: We will be following CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of our students. All classes will require the use of face coverings for both students and staff\, social distancing and strict sanitation and cleanliness protocols. This class will be using tree nuts and not appropriate for people with nut allergies.  \nCLASS CANCELLATION POLICY: Classes are non-refundable\, however\, we understand that plans change. If your child is unable to attend a class\, we will provide you with a credit to be used for another session (kitchen credits expire within 6 months). You must notify us at least 10 days before the class start date. Rescheduling requests must be emailed to us at info@mixitupkitchen.com or by calling us at 617-794-5191.  Any requests made within the 10 day window can only be honored if we can fill your child’s spot. Due to our limited class size we appreciate your understanding. SUMMARY:Macarons & Bubbly | Adult Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for some holiday macaron making and bubbly in between. In this introductory macaron workshop\, you’ll learn how to make meringue batter with techniques such as ribboning\, piping\, resting and baking. We’ll work in groups to make the shells with some delicious holiday fillings. While our macarons are baking\, Snug Harbor Wine will be sampling complimentary bubbly.  Each attendee will take home a festively boxed sampler of all 3 fillings (pistachio\, raspberry and chocolate with peppermint ganache). \nPlease note: this class is not appropriate for people with tree nut and peanut allergies.  Class size limited. \n  \nDate: Thursday\, December 2nd \nTime: 6:30-9:00 PM (approximate ending time). \nCost: $75 \n  \n\n\n\n\nThings to know: \nIf you have trouble registering or resetting a password\, please contact us at info@mixitupkitchen.com or at 617-794-5191.  \nWe reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment and a full refund will be provided.  If you need to cancel\, we can provide a credit for a future class if you give us at least 7 days notice prior to class date.  After that time\, we cannot provide a credit\, however you’re welcome to send someone in your place.
