DESCRIPTION:Somewhere over the rainbow\, unicorns fly.  There’s no need to catch one\, learn how to create your own!  We’ll show you techniques to make holiday swirl buttercream\, a magical horn\, ears and mane- with a holiday twist.  In this workshop\, we’ll make chocolate cupcakes while learning essential baking skills.  Each child will decorate a unicorn and 3 holiday swirl cupcakes to bring home. SUMMARY:Cooking with Superfoods | Adult Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Power up the New Year with Superfoods that will fuel your body with healthy nutrients.  In this small group technique class\, you’ll receive individualized attention by our chef as you prepare a Superfood inspired menu.  You’ll leave with a delicious dinner to bring home along with a repertoire of new skills.  The format of this workshop is mostly hands-on with limited chef demonstration. Class is limited to 6-8 participants.  \n  \nMenu \nBaby kale with roasted butternut squash\, pomegranate seeds\, roasted grapes with a pear vinaigrette. \nRoasted salmon with a fig and balsamic reduction\, cauliflower purée\, roasted Brussels sprouts with honey and local sea salt. \nLemon curd topped with a blueberry compote (prepared by our chef ahead of time to enjoy at home) \n  \nDate: Saturday\, January 16th \nTime: 5:00-7:00 PM \n\nCost: $105 pp or $180 per couple (couples will work together but bring home the same amount of food as an individual registration). \n\nIf this class is full or the ticket you’d like to purchase is sold out\, please contact us at info@mixitupkitchen.com to be put on a waitlist. \n\nThings to know:\n\nMasks are required inside the kitchen at all times. Each person/couple will have a designated workspace.\n\nPlease inform us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions prior to registering. DESCRIPTION:Inspired by the popular TV Show Nailed it\, join us for our Valentine’s Day edition of friendly competition and fun!  Each aspiring decorator will be challenged to recreate a heart cake masterpiece made by our professional cake decorator.  We’ll start with some cake decorating tips to get started on the right track\, then each contestant will receive a heart-shaped cake (baked by us ahead of time to allow cakes to cool) to design their own look-alike.  Just like the show\, each contestant may press the buzzer for 3 minutes of assistance.  Treats will be served during judging and each child will take home their cake as a “prize.” But only one person will wear the golden chef hat!  Come join the fun! \n  \nPlease note: each child will decorate a 6 inch vanilla heart cake (serves 4-5 people).  The cake in the event listing will not be the exact design. \n  \nAbout the instructor \nMelissa is an award winning cookie and cake decorator with many of her works published in magazines. She has over 13 years of experience\, owns an in-house bakery and is a member of the Wilton Hall of Fame.  She loves sharing her passion with children and adults alike.    \n  \n\nDate: Saturday\, February 13th \n\nTime: 4:00-5:30 PM \nCost: $60 \n  \n\nThings to know: \nIf you have trouble registering or resetting a password\, please contact us at info@mixitupkitchen.com or at 617-794-5191.  \nCOVID-19 UPDATE: We will be following CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of our students.
