SUMMARY:Nailed It! | Halloween Edition | Ages 9-14
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by the popular TV Show Nailed it!\, join us for our Halloween edition of friendly competition and fun!  Each aspiring decorator will be challenged to recreate a Halloween cake masterpiece made by our professional cake decorator.  We’ll start with a cake decorating tutorial and tips to get started on the right track\, then each contestant will be given a 2-layer 6 inch vanilla cake to decorate their own look-alike. Cakes equal approximately 6 servings and are baked by us ahead of time to allow cakes to cool. Just like the show\, each contestant may press the buzzer for 3 minutes of assistance.  Everyone will take home a cake but only one person will wear the golden chef hat!  Come join the fun! \nOur instructor will teach kids how to level a cake\, crumb coat\, use an offset spatula and scraper and piping bag to create a professional looking cake. (Please note: the picture on this event listing will not be the exact cake being decorated). \n  \nAbout the instructor \nMelissa is an award winning cookie and cake decorator with many of her works published in magazines. DESCRIPTION:Inspired by the popular TV Show Nailed it\, join us for our Valentine’s Day edition of friendly competition and fun!  Each aspiring decorator will be challenged to recreate a heart cake masterpiece made by our professional cake decorator.  We’ll start with some cake decorating tips to get started on the right track\, then each contestant will receive a heart-shaped cake (baked by us ahead of time to allow cakes to cool) to design their own look-alike.  Just like the show\, each contestant may press the buzzer for 3 minutes of assistance.  Treats will be served during judging and each child will take home their cake as a “prize.” But only one person will wear the golden chef hat!  Come join the fun! \n  \nPlease note: each child will decorate a 6 inch vanilla heart cake (serves 4-5 people).  The cake in the event listing will not be the exact design. \n  \nAbout the instructor \nMelissa is an award winning cookie and cake decorator with many of her works published in magazines.
