DESCRIPTION:Inspired by the popular TV Show Nailed it!\, join us for our Halloween edition of friendly competition and fun!  Each aspiring decorator will be challenged to recreate a Halloween cake masterpiece made by our professional cake decorator.  We’ll start with a cake decorating tutorial and tips to get started on the right track\, then each contestant will be given a 2-layer 6 inch vanilla cake to decorate their own look-alike. Cakes equal approximately 6 servings and are baked by us ahead of time to allow cakes to cool. Just like the show\, each contestant may press the buzzer for 3 minutes of assistance.  Everyone will take home a cake but only one person will wear the golden chef hat!  Come join the fun! \nOur instructor will teach kids how to level a cake\, crumb coat\, use an offset spatula and scraper and piping bag to create a professional looking cake. (Please note: the picture on this event listing will not be the exact cake being decorated). \n  \nAbout the instructor \nMelissa is an award winning cookie and cake decorator with many of her works published in magazines. DESCRIPTION:Come out of winter hibernation and join us for a celebration of spring and yummy spring-kle donuts!  We’ll mix up a batter for airy baked donuts\, stir together a strawberry glaze and dunk them in pastel sprinkles. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the season decorating a gingerbread house cookie while enjoying a Seabird hot chocolate “on the house.” Our freshly baked gingerbread cookies are ready for decorating with candies and royal icing- while listening to holiday tunes to get you in the spirit!  Each masterpiece will go home on a cake board and festively wrapped in cellophane. \nPlease note: Gingerbread house cookies are one-dimensional (flat) and approx. 8 inches tall with additional shapes (heart\, tree\, mini gingerbread child). Each registration includes a free hot chocolate from award-winning Seabird Coffee & Co\, just steps away from our kitchen. Instructions on how to pick up your hot chocolate prior to class will be sent ahead. \nThis workshop is for ages 6+. Due to space limitations\, parents who would like to attend are welcome to register separately and will be seated next to their child.
