DESCRIPTION:Do you ever marvel at those beautiful French macarons found in fancy bakeries?  These delicious Parisian sandwich cookies are remarkably simple once you learn the science and technique behind them. In this introductory class\, we’ll show you the techniques and tips to make award-winning macarons with ganache and buttercream fillings. Each person will go home with a box of macarons festively packaged for someone special. Any leftover macarons may also be brought home. Tweens and teens ages 11+. Class size limited. \nPlease note: this class is not appropriate for people with tree nut and peanut allergies. This class is a combination of interactive demonstration and hands-on. \n  \nDate: Saturday\, May 8th \nTime: 1:00-3:00 PM \nCost: $69 per person \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThings to know: \nIf you have trouble registering or resetting a password\, please contact us at info@mixitupkitchen.com or at 617-794-5191.  \nCOVID-19 UPDATE: We will be following CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of our students. All classes will require the use of face coverings for both students and staff\, social distancing and strict sanitation and cleanliness protocols. This class uses tree nuts and ingredients that may be processed in a plant in a facility that processes nut products.  \nCLASS CANCELLATION POLICY: Classes are non-refundable\, however\, we understand that plans change. If your child is unable to attend a class\, we will provide you with a credit to be used for another session (kitchen credits expire within 6 months). You must notify us at least 10 days before the class start date. Rescheduling requests must be emailed to us at info@mixitupkitchen.com or by calling us at 617-794-5191.  Any requests made within the 10 day window can only be honored if we can fill your child’s spot. Due to our limited class size we appreciate your understanding. SUMMARY:Gingerbread Houses | Drop off | Ages 7+
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the season with gingerbread fun!  Each child will design and decorate their own house with lots of decorating options.  You’ll enjoy hot chocolate and a treat at the kitchen while your house is packaged up to bring home.  Please note: Gingerbread Houses are medium sized. \n\nPlease note: this is a drop off workshop and recommended for children who can work independently. \n\nDate: Saturday\, December 16th \nTime: 3:00-4:00 PM \nCost: $50 \nThings to know: \nOur children classes are nut-free.  Please inform us of any food allergies prior to registering.  Menu items may change due to availability and student dietary restrictions.
