SUMMARY:Sweet Summer | Adult Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for for a hands-on cooking class celebrating the bright flavors of summer. In this workshop\, you’ll learn to make delicate ricotta gnocchi from scratch\, paired with seared shrimp\, sweet corn\, pan roasted tomatoes\, and a vibrant chive-basil pesto. After cooking\, sit down and enjoy a relaxed dinner with fellow guests. Recipes will be emailed after class so you can recreate the menu at home. \nPlease note: This class is hands-on with some instructor demonstration (Pesto). Class size is limited. You can reach us at info@mixitupkitchen.com. \nArrival PolicyOur kitchen will open 10 minutes before class begins. We kindly ask that all participants arrive on time\, as instruction will start promptly.Please note: If you arrive more than 20 minutes late\, we may not be able to accommodate you fully\, as the class will already be in progress. \nClass format/attire Our classes are recreational and fun!  Upon arrival\, we ask that you wash your hands\, grab an apron provided for wear during the class and help yourself to a beverage if you brought one. We suggest wearing comfortable shoes since you’ll be cooking for about the first hour. We appreciate long hair tied back. Our classes typically end around 8:00 PM but may run slightly over. \nCancellation PolicyIf you need to cancel\, we’re happy to offer a class credit (valid for 6 months) if you notify us at least 10 days before your scheduled class. Due to the intimate size of our classes\, we are unable to offer credits for cancellations made within 10 days of the class for any reason. However\, you are always welcome to send someone in your place—just let us know in advance. \nClass Cancellations by Mix It Up KitchenWe reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment or instructor illness/emergency. In the rare event this occurs\, we will offer you a full refund or a credit toward a future class\, depending on your original payment method. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment\, you’ll be notified at least 24 hours in advance. \nBYO PolicyOur kitchen is BYO for 21+. Feel free to bring beer or wine to enjoy during the class. SUMMARY:Shuck\, Sip & Sauce with Duxbury Oyster Co | Adult Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a summer evening of oysters and hands-on shucking in collaboration with Duxbury Oyster Company. Guests will meet local oyster farmer and owner of Duxbury Oyster Company while enjoying light refreshments and learning about Duxbury’s rich shellfishing history and local aquaculture. \nGuests will also prepare two seasonal mignonettes before learning how to safely shuck oysters like a pro. Each participant will shuck a dozen fresh Prince Caspian oysters to enjoy and take home any unshucked oysters at the end of the event. Guests are welcome to bring beer or wine to enjoy following the instructional portion of class. \nWhether you’re an oyster enthusiast or trying oysters for the first time\, this relaxed and interactive experience is a fun way to spend a summer evening — and makes a memorable Father’s Day gift. \nEvent Includes: \n\nHistory of Duxbury’s shellfishing and local aquaculture with owner of Duxbury Oyster Co\, Kevin Thomson.\nLight refreshments and summer beverage on arrival (Guests may bring beer and wine)\nOne dozen fresh Prince Caspian oysters to enjoy at the kitchen- with option to purchase additional oysters packaged to take home at a special event price\nOyster shucking knife and protective glove to take home. Tickets are available without the glove and knife but you must bring your own\nSeasonal mignonettes to prepare and recipes to bring home\n\n  \nThis class requires a minimum of 10 people.
